Princeton大学のJia Deng教授が本研究室に来訪されました

Princeton大学のJia Deng教授が本研究室に7月21日に来訪され、講演をしていただきました。Jia Deng教授は、世界的に広く研究で用いられている画像データセットImageNetを第一著者として発表されるなど、Computer vision分野において世界的第一人者として活躍されています。講演後は学生とも活発な議論をしていただき、今後のさらなるコラボレーションへの発展が期待されます。

講演タイトル：Toward Dense 3D Reconstruction in the Wild

講演概要：Reconstructing depth and motion of every pixel for arbitrary scenes is a core problem in 3D vision with many downstream applications. In this talk, I will describe some of our recent efforts toward this goal, including various strategies to obtain effective training data for single-image 3D reconstruction, and new neural architectures that advance the state of the art of multiview 3D reconstruction.

Jia Deng教授の略歴：Jia Deng is an Associate Professor of Computer Science at Princeton University. His research focuses on computer vision and machine learning. He is a recipient of the Sloan Research Fellowship, the NSF CAREER award, the ONR Young Investigator award, an ICCV Marr Prize, a CVPR test-of-time award, a 3DV Best Student Paper Award, and two ECCV Best Paper Awards.
